BICSI is a global trade association supporting the information and communications technology (ICT) industry. Founded in 1974, BICSI publishes the TDMM (Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual) which is the de facto reference standard for structured cabling installation in commercial buildings. The Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is widely required on commercial cabling specifications; the BICSI Installer 1, Installer 2, and Technician credentials are the standard installer-tier certifications.

Why it matters

An RCDD credential on staff is often a hard requirement on commercial cabling specs. Installer 1/2/Technician credentials are the standard way to prove your team can execute to TDMM standards.
