Low-voltage licensing
Nebraska
Nebraska requires Electrical Contractor licensing through the State Electrical Division. Individual electrician licenses (Apprentice, Journeyman, Class A and Class B Master) are separate from the Contractor registration. Low-voltage scope falls under the same classification.

Common pitfalls

- Nebraska requires the individual Master license AND the Electrical Contractor business registration separately.
- Annual renewal; missing the cycle requires re-application rather than reinstatement.
- Omaha and Lincoln each have local permit and inspection requirements layered on state licensing.
