Low-voltage licensing
Indiana
Indiana has no state-level electrical or low-voltage contractor license. Licensing is handled at the municipal level - Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Evansville, and other cities each have their own contractor registration requirements. Indianapolis requires registration with the Department of Business and Neighborhood Services and an Electrical Contractor Endorsement.

Common pitfalls
Mistakes we see installers make when navigating Indiana licensing.
- No state license - check every municipality where you intend to work.
- Indianapolis Electrical Contractor Endorsement requires designating a qualifying individual who has passed the city's exam.
